How to read these numbers

Identified vehicles counts distinct normalised chassis numbers, plus distinct plates on rows that carry no chassis. It is the honest size of the registry. The raw number of extracted sighting rows is 1,131,468, far higher, because the same recovery list is reposted to many groups; we never quote it as a count of vehicles.

Leads relayed are standing-watch hits that a human verified and passed to the registrant. Recoveries confirmed counts only cars whose owner told us the car came back after a registry lead. Both are kept by hand and will be published monthly whether or not they move.

Posts awaiting processing is the backlog: posts collected but not yet read for vehicle records. Intake currently outruns the free processing tier, which is the second item on the funding ladder.
